how to pronounce...

i am kinda drunk so help me out... i need to call this girl that I met yesterday.. her name is andrea, and I am not sure what the proper way to pronounce that name is... ahn-dray-uh or an-dree-ah or something completely different?? i just dont want to sound like a complete dumb ass, because I pull off the partial dumb ass pretty well =]

Honesty is the best policy dude. She won't think anything of it if you ask her exactly how you say it. I'm sure she gets it all the time since it can be said either way. Just ask and you'll be fine.

Depends on the person and origin..Some are An Dray uh and other are An Dree Ah jus task.

while we're on the topic, i have no other car tuners in town so when i talk with some friends from other towns in person i sometimes feel awkward when i pronounce certain makes and / or brands since they never come up in conversation and i assume i'm saying them correctly.

celica = sell-ica for me
tein = tine
axela = axe-ella
greddy = gred-eee

and so on... can people clarify or have similar experiences?

Yeah, nothing's worse than pronouncing some name you've only seen in print the wrong way, and having everyone look at you like you're an idiot. Case in point, I've always assumed tein was "tayn"...
