What is the scariest thing that has happened to you?

I made the mistake last night of showing my husband a freaky video about ghosts and such on youtube.com and seriously ended up running the bedroom after he left the room. I swear I was hearing things last night.

Ok my scariest thing that has happened to us is about 2 months ago I came home from work got comfortable and decided to get a snack. Went into the kitchen seriously wondering why it was so cold in the house. Turned the corner and noticed our AC was on 60 degrees. I asked my husband what the deal was with that and he said it was not on 60 earlier in the day. And he noticed how cold it go too right when I got home.

WTH??

Re: What is the scariest thing that has happened to you?

Umm... my house is haunted. >_>

I've been yelled at, tapped, had my hair pulled... TVs and radios have been turned on when not plugged in... all when nobody has been home all day. Creepy ass shit.

I've got shitloads of stories. There is an older, middle-aged woman who walks around the house (mostly in the basement and hallway) around 3:00 am, and a very young little girl that I've only seen twice in my life who used to come into my bedroom (haven't seen her in about 10 years).

Nah, they aren't mean or demonic by any means... they startle you... but they won't hurt you. When I said I was being yelled at, it was more along the lines of how a mother would chastize her child. The ghost told me to go to bed when I was up at like 2:30 am. xD

Re: What is the scariest thing that has happened to you?

Yeah isn't it true if you "know" your house is haunted aren't you suppose to tell people that when you sell it???

I have had another thing.....when I was 17 I was home alone and just had this weird vibe that something was there with me. I went into my room, turned on the radio, and kept myself completely covered. When my boyfriend (husband now) and his mom came home she had him rush into the room to see if I was ok. (his mom has had ghost visions and such before) She told him that as soon as she walked in the door she KNEW something was there with me.

Re: What is the scariest thing that has happened to you?

Freaky! Yeah... I am so afraid to be alone... I don't go down into the basement after dark, there is something down there that just freaks me out. The two friendly ghosts I can deal with, but I just get such a creepy vibe being down there. Even my father (a Vietnam War Marine Vet) gets bad vibes and gets creeped out downstairs.

Re: What is the scariest thing that has happened to you?

Scariest thing for me was when I was about 13. My mom was driving her Explorer, and I was in the front passenger seat. We're cruising about 55 mph down a 2 lane road and we came up to a light that had just turned green, but the car in front of us wasn't moving and had no brake lights or anything. We slammed right into it and then rolled over upside down into a really deep ditch on the right side of the road. When the truck finally settled it was on it's right side, so I was closest to the ground, and my mom was up in her seat above me. She unbuckled her belt and fell down on me. She was all shaken up and panicked so I had to shut the car off. Then my mom tries to open the sunroof but can't so some guy runs up and says "Stay back I'm going to break the sunroof open!" I yelled at him. "No it just opens up like this."

I have no idea why I didn't panic at all, but I was definitely freaked out about slamming into a parked car going 55 mph.
