Emergency Kit

Do you have an emergency kit in your car?

You could need it in time of need such as in a breakdown, accident or just for some minor cuts.

If you have one, what's in it?
Have you ever used it?

Re: Emergency Kit

latex gloves, airway/mask, scissors, knives, thread, needle, bandages, gauze, bandaids, various ointment-type things, and tampons.

why tampons? you got a cut that won't stop bleeding, these fuckers will at least keep the blood from getting anywhere. And they work great for a bloody nose.

Re: Emergency Kit

Ummm, tire pressure gauge and a small LED flashlight. That's it other then the spare tire, jack and iron.

I don't bother. I have a cell phone and AAA. If I have to I will hoof it to a gas station. Pretty rare that I drive so far out of the way that I would worry about getting stuck somewhere for a long time. Most of the time if I am going somewhere out of the way it means I am going hiking and back packing so I have everything in my hiking pack to rough it for 2-8 days I never bother to pack extra stuff in my car (food, water, first aid kit, etc).

You explained the tampon thing so well, that you got yourself out of the hole.
Not much I can add to it then!

Re: Emergency Kit

I have an emergency kit that has been through a couple of hot Las Vegas summers.

Its more of a med kit than anything in time of need.

Also, have a screwdriver, tire gauge and a flashlight. Should carry some duck tape for some blown hoses.
