I.T. Training Companies

Any of you I.T. guys/gals ever taken courses at the New Horizons Computer Learning Centers or similar? The company that I work for has enrolled a few of us to take the Core Windows Forms Technologies with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 course. I was wondering what your experience is with these types of places. Was it helpful or was it a waste of time? For the money they are getting, it should be worth it I hope.

I haven't been to that particular training center, but it has been my experience that anything that has to do with microsoft training is pretty much useless, you're better off learning on your own.

I figured it would be, but at least I'll get 6 days of free training on the company's dime.

I've had some good experiences with Learning Tree, but I don't know if you'd consider it IT training (UML and the unified software design process).

IBM does some pretty good training depending on what subject it is (I have done XML as a refresher and JCL training through them). A few local places as well for some websphere and java training (again as refreshers). I haven't personal done any through the company you mentioned though.

I took a+ at New Horizons. There was one other option, but there all pretty much the same I think. It was nice?
