Should I make a big deal???

I ordered a custom made football jersey, and on the website it said it would take 3-5 weeks to arrive the item due to it being custom made. Today is the 5 week mark, so I email them and say hey whats up I still have yet to receive my Jersey... They say oh sorry about that we have been having problems with the company that makes their custom jerseys so it will be another week or so before they get it, then the time to ship to be, another couple days.. I ordered this wanting to use it as a b-day gift this weekend thinking I wouldn't have any problems and I would receive it in a decent amount of time...

I paid $230 to have this jersey made and it says that it is completely non-refunable , non-returnable because it is custom.. I am wondering should I make a big deal about this because they are taking so long, or should I just deal with it.. Either way I will not have it by Sunday for my little brothers B-Day like I wanted...

Wow. That's a really good present, too. I'd be very pissed. Wait until it comes and see if you like the quality, etc. and determine if the amount of time was worth it.

The world of "custom" is highly succeptible to delays. Give it a week and check on progress. Your brother should like it if it's good quality regardless of being a bit belated.

That really sux. COuldn't you get a refund if they haven't made the jersey yet?

I ordered something for a trip this weekend last week, and not only has the company not shipped it, but I can't even get a response via email. and when I try to call, the phone just rings.

Re: Should I make a big deal???

I'd say its really up to you. You could yell and bitch, demand a discount since it wasn't delivered on time, as promised, since you were depending on it for a birthday gift and ordered it with plenty of time (not a last minute thing). Maybe they'd give you something, maybe not.

I probably wouldn't myself, thats just the way I am. Completely depends on whether or not you want to spend the time and energy going through all the red tape. I find you typically don't get anything for your efforts in the end anyway. Or you tell them you'll never use their service again and they send you coupons for their service to try to make up for it, what is that, a sick joke? (Jiffy Lube did this after they screwed my wife's oil pan up and she had to go through a bunch of fuss to get them to pay for a new one. I'd warned her against them BTW, she just didn't believe me until then)
