Any Farmers or Gardeners out there?

Just had some questions. I went crazy and got a green thumb and wanted to make sure I do things right.

It really all depends on whether or not the plants are legal.

The line-up so far. Watermelon, Strawberries, Corn, a flower bed with various flowers. And most importantly my Sunflowers. Ranging from 3ft to 16ft. Man watching those sunflowers grow will be awesome.

Re: Any Farmers or Gardeners out there?

Theres not much to corn, just make sure it gets plenty of water. But not too much obviously. Good soil is important as well, too much clay and it will have a hard time getting nutrients. Not so sure what the soil is like in Wichita Falls, but I know in the Dallas area theres a lot of clay.

My family back in Iowa and Nebraska are farmers, and between them all, there's something like 750k acres of corn fields, about 10k head of cattle, and another 100k pigs.

A revolution gets its name by always coming back around in your face.

Re: Any Farmers or Gardeners out there?

Strawberries are easy to grow They like a lot of sun of course. Melons, I have never grown a good melon maybe it's just the soil or something here but they never get very big. Sunflowers are probably the easiest, my mom grew a 12 foot tall sunflower last summer but it got too heavy and fell over when they start getting really tall, I would stake them to something so they don't fall over and break.
