Are you taking over for Dubs? He's the master of starting controversial threads. You might want to check with him before usurping the role!

Re: Gay marrige in America
Marriage has always been between a man and a woman. Why are we changing the definition of marriage after 2000+ years? A bunch of liberal fucknuts here in Canada made it legal and it's retarded. The worst thing is that if a church or a pastor doesn't want to do the ceremony or let it be prefromed at their church they can be sued for discrimination. Go USA for not caving in!
I could rant about this forever but I'm gonna leave it at that.

Re: Gay marrige in America
i think it is funny.
like i said, marriage as a whole is a great big fucking joke these days anyway. i can't even count on two hands the number of people i know that have actually become married and divorced within two to three years. and i'm 23. i can just imagine how many i'm going to know in seven years or so.
people don't take it seriously anyway. it has ceased to become a right of any select group, and has severely waned as any sort of priviledge. it is highly commercialized and has now become a right of passage more than anything--just like someone's first divorce. it is expected.
so why don't you spruce up the game before you start deciding who the players are, hmm?

Marriage was always between same races before the last century. Marriage was also always between the same religion until recently. Boy oh boy was there hell to pay if someone went outside their religion to marry. All of these positions of marriage have evolved - and I am sure traditionalists had a problem 30 years ago when my (white) aunt married a black man. Now it's accepted and the only surprise people have when they meet my aunt and uncle is that they're 65 years old and married interracially.

In all seriousness, my position is that the government should have no business in marriage at all, period. The government is not around to endorse any religious ceremonies, arrangements, whatever. Civil unions for all!! Gay, straight, white, black, Catholic, athiest, rich, poor, funny, annoying, fat, bald, beautiful, import driver, etc.....
