The key would be to create an airtight seal

Wow, I can just see the next gen. of car theft entry tools. A syringe type device with a rubber gasket on the end to make a seal. Walk up, make a seal, push in plunger.

Hmmmmm, I wonder if I can think of a way to get a seal on a 60cc syringe from work?

I wonder how many dumb people will be driving around with big dents around their lock cylinders.

The lock is not airtight, so it won't really work.

Well the other problem with this car (is it a problem? I don't know) is that our locks are built into the handle, so I don't know that it would seal as well as it did on her car.

You can seal all you want around the lock, the cylinder internals are not sealed. When you rotate the lock cylinder, it actuates either an electric switch or a mechanical linkage that unlocks the car. Compressed air cannot cause the lock cylinder to rotate.

This video is probably someone using the key to unlock the car off-camera while the dumb blond puts a big dent in her door.
