Re: Can a speed3 beat a 350Z ?

I posted this that night because I can't believe how much I smoked that 350z that night on the freeway. I raced him 4 times and he couldn't keep up I mean he was atleast 5 or more cars away and me and the NSX are going at it. I kept up with the NSX on my 5th gear all the way up to 140+mph. I was enjoying too much that I forgot to shift. I reached 6K+ RPM and that's when he took off. It was unbelieveable but it was great. 4 races on both cars !

350z = stock
NSX = lowered with with aftermarket wheels, exhaust, tinted it looks sick!
MS3 = sirius satellite radio that's not activated

Re: Can a speed3 beat a 350Z ?

I believe it. I took on a G35 Coupe and a new Acura TL type S successfully. The G35 I do not know what year and which configuration, but it shares the engine and platform with the 350Z (the 35 and the 350 come from the shared 3.5 liter engine for those who do not know). They both took off faster until I was reaching 80mphs. I'm not quite good at launching my Speed3 yet. Had I been in a highway at 40mphs+, they would not have been able to reach me. It was fun. The guy in the Acura was particularly frustrated. About two months ago I had an encounter with a 350Z that smoked me badly, but I later found out that the guy tuned it up to at least 400 ponies. I did not stand a chance that time.

The ultimate "hot hatch" experience.

Re: Can a speed3 beat a 350Z ?

hmmmm....

Pretty ridiculous to compare different car's performances while street racing.

First off all street racing is PATHETIC.
Secondly, if you want to truly see how two cars compare, take them to the track where you can go as fast as you want, and see the true performance of the car, without annoying the shit out of other traffic around you and putting them at risk.

Plus on the track you can switch the drivers of both cars, and eliminate the drivers' skill level from the equation. Cause most of the time that's what matters most.

You guys are .

I agree with you regarding street racing. I try to avoid it, but sometimes it is tough to resist... I raced those cars in a private landing field. They actually wanted to race a Speed3 and appointments were made through a friend of a friend... Of course, the one in the tuned up 350Z did not disclose what he had before the meet. He wanted to humiliate me... By the way, I would never let anyone else race my car. That is crazy. You can get sued and loose everything, which can happen in street racing, too, and loose your life as well.

The ultimate "hot hatch" experience.

i believe a z will beat a speed 3 once the triple digits come up. The speed three is a pocket rocket but the z is a v6 and just has a higher threshold. But I still think the mazdaspeed 3 is bad ass. Wish i had the bank to get one. oh but a mustang gt would beat both cars, in triple digits at higher rpms. v8s kill
