Help left landline phone on

Has anyone ever left their home phone on by accident? like for more than 3hours?

Will the phone company charge you for this?

Re: Help left landline phone on

I wouldnt think so, unless you were connected with someone else long distance for the 3 hours

Re: Help left landline phone on

What do you mean by "on?"

A landline is always "on" provided the phone is connected to the wall jack.

Falling asleep on the phone are we? No, after the call is no longer connected, you are not subject for charge for the phone being "off the hook". If the person you were/is/are/was talking to is sitting there for 3 hours waiting for you to come back to life, then yes... its on the bill.

Yes that person was on the phone too but if its not a long distance call then it should be free right?

I believe it would come down to how your local calling plan is setup.
