Question about Dremel Tools

Ok so I finally went and purchased one. http://www.dremel.com/en-us/tools/ki...6&KI=66254 That one to be exact. However looking at the accessories I noticed it says on the back it will only fit certain models, and these models are expressed through numerical values.

This is the kit I want. http://www.dremel.com/en-us/attachme...79&I=69795

However it says it will fit only "400, 398, 395, 300, 285, 275, 800, 780" tool models, and the thing is I don't know what model number the lith-ion cordless tool is! This is dumb! :x Is it the 800 series? I don't want to open the package (store has a weird return policy) and I always (foolishly) believed dremel bits were universal unless they are and I'm not crazy. A little help?

Re: Question about Dremel Tools

According to the specifications section from the link, you have Model 800. So it should work. I took a look at the product manual on Amazon...it also says Model 800. Hope this helps.

Re: Question about Dremel Tools

The cordless suck. They just dont have enough power to do most jobs. THe Ion cuts out so as not to burn up the motor, so you spend most of you time cutting out. I dunno. I bought one new and used it once. The other Dremels I had were nicer, so I went back to the store and got the top notch plug in. It will wail through anything. I cant live without a dremel. My Ion is now an expensive flashlight that just sits in my tool chest.

Re: Question about Dremel Tools

That's interesting. I'll have to see if my applications will cause it to cut out. I tried notching it up to 35,000 rpm and the thing is freaking loud.

Re: Question about Dremel Tools

I've had mine for nearly 10 years...the thing has been indestructable. Definetely a worthwhile tool to have in your arsenal.
