Another mazda joins the family.

I've been looking for a project car for a while. Not just a car to do mods to, but an actual project. Several ideas have come to mind, one that I could never put to rest though was the temptation of an RX-7. And after talking to a few people and doing some research, I finally figured I'd go with that. I was looking for an FC for sure, FD's are just too far out of my budget. Looked on ebay and craigslist, but I could never find one that fit the bill, it either was a rust pit with a non running engine, or in decent shape with a running engine. First one not being worth the time, second one being too pricey. I Found one on ebay on friday with 5 minutes remaining on the auction with no reserve. Didn't have an engine or a transmission, but the body was rust free and no accidents on its record. I managed to get it for $455.

It's currently located near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but its being loaded on a hauler Monday and on a 1300 mile trek to St. Louis.

Ordered a bunch of parts for it already, Radiator, Transmission, brakes, carpet, the missing factory spoiler, clutch, and a flywheel.
I have a few parts laying around I'm going to use for it too, MSD ignition for one.

Nice, dude. Talk to Mack (Tiger Mack), him and his bro both have 7's, and could probably help you out with any questions you've got.

Starting to take shape slowly...

I've tracked down a JDM turbo engine and trans, a turbo rear end, the missing spoiler, and lots of other parts.

Just need to get a JDM s4 ECU, turbo axles and I should be good to go.

Re: Another mazda joins the family.

I used to have a gen 2 rx-7 in white. Loved that little thing. A college maintenance truck backed over the hood of it and totalled it. Pissed me off to no end.
