You can never rely on USPS tracking, I've had my share of problems with them.

UPS is really realiable when it comes to tracking.

Fedex is like, "package? you have a package? thats new news to me! what pacakge?" is what i get from Fedex.

I want to try DHL. Any experience with DHL?

Are they still even around? I haven't seen one of their trucks or a commercial in forever

Re: USPS tracking

It sucks because it's a .gov product.

And why is it that people want the .gov to be in charge of health care?

We get our lab/chemical supplies delivered by them on a daily basis.

FedEx's tracking has pissed me off more than once. I've had it show the package as "delivered" for 2 days before it showed up at my door. Which left me freaking out that someone had nabbed my package from my doorstep--especially when the delivery note specifically said "signature confirmation not needed"

ups much better for tracking items

I've been disappointed with UPS lately as well. My last two packages didn't have an "estimated delivery date" on the web site. I called UPS and they couldn't help either. Both packages came to my house on time, but I had no idea when they were going to get there. :x

FedEx FTW!

That is why you use the map, i ship stuff out all the time, and i can say that they are always on the time for the option paid for

As in im in WA
So CA customers i say 3 days
FL customers i say 5 days
ME is 5 or 6 days
OK is 5 days
For ground services

Everyone has their problems ( DHL FedEX and UPS ) Im a business man though and working for the business was the most important to me. (UPS won)

USPS I have never had a tracking # work EVER. All the other companies I agree have a great tracking system.

Yes, they're still around. Dell uses them for all their returns, and even has the DHL depot do some of the diagnostic work and easier repairs.

I've had a couple times where DHL has handed a package off to the local post office, though. They'll bring the package from Texas to Maryland or whatever, then the normal USPS guy actually delivers it. It doesn't happen all the time (when I had to return my laptop a DHL van drove right up to the house), but it may account for why you never see their trucks.

Yeah, DHL does mostly high-volume shipping, so they have an agreement with USPS for most of their residential deliveries, where they deliver everything to a USPS station, and then USPS brings it to your door, since they already have the door-to-door delivery infrastructure in place. I think that's usually how it goes if you choose DHL's standard ground service. [email protected], or something like that.
