Anyone use motorola cell phones?

So i got my phone yesterday, it was cool.... put music on it and stuff..

but now when ppl call me or I call them, i can only hear them in Speaker mode. Not in regular.
and when im talking to ppl in regular mode, i cannot hear them so i check to see if my volume is up. and it is.

so maybe my phone is broke? My phone said there is no updates either, so any help?
I got 5 months warranty on the phone... -_- ebay for the lose on that one..

Re: Anyone use motorola cell phones?

That happened to my friend and her Motorola. I've got a RAZR, and IMO, it's a piece of shit. I'm on my 4th one (warranty tweaking FTW), and this one is shitting out on me. Time for an upgrade

Exactly. They've gone downhill, quality wise, cutting too many corners to make it look cool, but function like shit.

The ROKR was routinely criticized as being a POS.

Anyway, I have a Motorola E82 - great phone.

Re: Anyone use motorola cell phones?

I use a moto v3 razr. It's worked fine, except for occasionally freezing while connecting to a BT headset. It was in it's 11th month of a 1 year warranty so I had it replaced for free by Cingular. The new one doesn't do anything wrong. It's possible that there's a flaw with your phone, and for some of you perhaps you just handle your phones roughly..... on the other hand sometimes things just come broken right out of the box.

I baby mine. You couldn't find a scratch from dropping it if you wanted to, and yet they still act up. I don't get it.

^^^ yeah mine spends all of it's (read: my) waking hours in a leather belt case, or in a pocket by itself. When I took it into the store to have the software reflashed (plus they gave me an updated SIM card for free) the guy was surprised that I'd had it for 11 months considering the condition it was in.

True that. I had a leather case, but it broke (grr), so now the phone is in my pocket, by itself. The thing that amazes me is people like my roommate, who have the same phone, drops theirs all the time, put it in the same pocket as their keys, and somehow, it works fine. WTF?

Re: Anyone use motorola cell phones?

mines 2 days old lol.......... i did slightly drop it on a table which was like 3-4" below my hand or so..

but still if thats what id take for the phone to break, that would suck.

i emailed the seller from ebay about it and the phone company.
