Have you tried calling her phone provider and the police? Seriously, if they're messing around with you like that, there should be something.

+1. Cops and carrier are your best bet. And I hope she called her credit card company and told them to freeze her account...

Call the carrier first to report the theft and they will cancel the account, and prevent the phone from being used anymore...then call the cops...

Most phones have GPS tracing...if you report the theft to the cops and the carrier, they might be able to track the phone...

And the longer it takes her to report it, the less it seems important to get it back..

yea good point. she already called the CC compaines. not to cancel but to flag it as stolen so if they do get used they'll be able to catch them.

Re: Is there a way to track a lost cell phone?!

The phone carrier should be able to black list the phone so that when someone calls from it the call goes directly to customer service.

Other than that, there is no way you can track the phone.

Someone on the inside can find the phone's location, but that is a big no no.

I believe most newer CMDA (Verizon/Sprint/others) phones can be. Not GSM phones (Tmobile/Cingular) tho
