ashamed of my Mazda 3

i wasnt racing i was just passin a slow driver in a RSX and he decided not to let me pass and succeeded .. I was at 105 and he was pullin away pretty quick - started at 45 in a 55 i hit the gas to pass and was at 65 or so and he slammed it (exhaust rice pack) made its normal sound for him and then i never gained anything i was losing from the second i got door to door with em.

whats the deal!? i raced a RSX before and i was the one pullin away, makes me want a speed3 that much more.

Not to flame... and keep in mind I OWN A 3....

I don't think that the 3 utilizes the HP as well as a Honda product. IMO and I've owned both.

I just plain don't race my 3. I know I'd be embarrassed.

Re: ashamed of my Mazda 3

the strength in the 3 is the wide mid-range powerband and the fact it hits much earlier ~3500, which make tight course, canyon twisties and urban dodging so fun. I'd take my 3 in a parking lot race every time.

The Hondas (I've driven my nephew Eric's Civic S a lot) don't make any real power until about 5500, but they do hit hard at the top, which is fun in a straight line, but not what I am looking for.

basically 0-50 we got em beat, but 50+ is not where you want to start a race with the new S model. I've proven it many times against Eric.

gotta look at other points too... i run regular 87 or 89 gas too cant afford the other stuff unless i know imma be doin some speedin

his car is tiny so weight plays a factor / hes manual im automatic / his lil 15 inch rims vs my 18s / stock everything for me and he sounded like he had upgrades.

i guess i should of gotten that bmw 3 series instead of the mazda 3 series :P i bet he wouldnt of tried against that. good ol german engineering
