Paypal / Ebay Help Please Guys!!!

Hey Guys,

I need advice here and thought I could turn to here.

I recently was selling here a PSP System Pack and I got an offer from a local so I removed the sell. Turns out that the local backed out so I decided to list it on eBay.

Iím having this situation in which Iím going to try my best to describe.
Iím an eBay user (seller and buyer) since 2005 and I recently (1-16-07) listed an item with a fixed price on eBay that got sold the very same day. Later that day I sent the buyer an Invoice with the original shipping amount to ship the item to her location (US). The buyer replied me saying that she wanted me to ship the item to another address (not her Paypal Certified address) across the world (Nigeria). I emailed her stating that I will ship the item to her Paypal Certified address only for security reasons (note: in the listing I offered shipping to US only). She never replied the previous email. I looked at My eBay homepage and I got an eBay note saying that she is no longer registered with eBay. I looked at her profile and she created the account the same day she bought my item. I sent her emails questioning this bizarre registration status and she never replied. Knowing this, I filed an Unpaid Claim at eBay with the reason: No longer registered buyer and got a Free Insertion Fee Credit to re-list the item. Without any notice I received a Paypal Payment Confirmation email for much more than the previous stated amount to ship the item. It also stated in the Paypal email that the payment was deducted from the buyerís account and that it was approved, but it would not be credited to my account until the shipment tracking number is sent to the Paypal customer service ([email protected]). All of this is ďbackedĒ up with the reason that this is for shipment verification. After this email she emailed me saying that she made the payment and once I received the Paypal confirmation I needed to ship the item immediately. I emailed her again questioning the amount we never agreed with and she replied saying she through extra amount so that I could ship it to the other non-Paypal confirmed address.
How come I donít see this Pending Payment on the Paypal website, on my account summary? It seems like this pending payment never reached my Paypal account but I received an email supposedly from Paypal (actual sender email [email protected]) regarding that I just received a payment.

What should I do? Iím not 100% secure in sending the item across the world especially me paying the expensive shipping to that location and still not having the promised payment cleared in my Paypal account in order to pay for the shipping with that payment.

I tried emailing her saying that I don't (which I don't) have the expensive shipping amount to the other location (non-US) and still no reply.

Please help a brother out!!!

Thanks for reading,

Victor

smells like a scam, don't ship until you confirm that the money is in your paypal account, sounds like they sent you a spoof email, pretending to be paypal. I'd inform them that you stand by your original stance of not shipping to a non-confirmed address.

I am sorry you are having trouble. I was just scammed on ebay myself. A golf club for $220.00 and ebay notified us saying do not pay....account fraudulant....we already paid and the person who magically was from China when the account said US....sent us a piece of junk club that was not worth $10.00....so paypal did not reimburse us our money.

Re: Paypal / Ebay Help Please Guys!!!

Yes you guys are probably right. I'll try email the buyer once more stating that I'll only ship the item to the confirmed address.

Here's a though:
I believe in the email and what not, I go to the post office, ship the item and pay the $115 (approximately) shipping to Nigeria, then send the tracking number to the buyer in order for me to receive my payment and I never hear from her and from the payment transaction (not on my Paypal account). End up with NO PSP System Pack and $115 less in my account. What the HEY!??!??!

Scam +1000000
Nigeria should tip you off. The paypal email is bogus.

Just report it all to ebay & paypal, don't even bother trying to contact her.

Yeah! I mean, She's no longer an eBay registered user so this means I won't get a negative feedback right? And with Paypal I don't apply to the Seller's Protection Policy because I don't even see or know the transaction (Payment to me) information.

Blah!!! These things just make me so mad!!!
