GOT PULLED OVER LAST NIGHT!!!

Good times......i totally called it too...

I was driving down magnolia about to cross bolsa. And there was a cop getting ready to pull out of a gas station to go the same way i was going. The speed limit on magnolia is 45, and i was going between 50-55... barely got to 55, cause i knew i could be pushing it... but yea....so as i'm coming up to the light, it is red, and it's a 4 lane street, with cars in the 3 left lanes, I had been slowing down preparing to stop, when the light turned green, so i hit the gas and proceded to pass the cars, including the officer still in the driveway.

As soon as i saw him, i knew he was going to get me, which i didn't care, because it would be such an easy ticket to fight. So i pass him, and he pulls out, and we are in the same lanes, i change 1 lane to the left, and car behind me, changed to the right in front of the cop. The cop gets back into my lane, following be fairly close, so i knew he was gonna be hitting the lights any moment, i was just hoping he would do it sooner, then later, because i didn't wanna get pulled over in front of my house like I had once before. He hits his light right before i am coming up to a side street, so i pull over onto the street, and park next to the curb. He hits his spot lights into my mirrors. He gets out of the car and comes to mine. He says "you in a bit of a hurry to get home tonight?" and I said "just a bit". He asks for my license, registration, and insurance. I tell him "it's in my glove box" so i reach over and grab all that and give it to him. Now keep in mind that i had just gotten off work. I deliver pizza, so i was still in my uniform. He asks me if i deliver pizza, and i said yea. He says "well i pulled you over because you were going between 50-55" "I see you drive for a living, so i don't wanna jack your insurance up, so i am just gonna let you off" "Just slow down"
and he gave my stuff back, and that was the end of it...

he was pretty nice..... i wouldn't have cared if i got the ticket though. Because it would have been so easy to fight... but yea......

good times... oh yea, and i wasn't driving my speed 3. I was driving my work car, a 86 toyota camry. So i didn't have to worry about tint tickets or anything...

Re: GOT PULLED OVER LAST NIGHT!!!

Just outta curiosity, why do you say it would be easy to fight? I'm contesting a couple of tickets right now. One is an automated red light ticket, which will be easy to fight because the Manual on Traffic Control Devices (or something along those lines) says the yellow light was not long enough. However, the other one was a speeding ticket (85 in a 70) that I'm doubtful about. I did a written declaration for both, and both found me guilty. I'm requesting a new trial for each, hopefully my luck will change.

Glad to hear your story had a happy ending.

hey shineman...i noticed you traded your 2004 in for the speed 6 then traded that in for the speed 3....how easy is it to just take your car to the dealership and trade it in for a new one....just reconfigure payments and bam their is your new car?

well the ease of fighting the ticket all depends on what you get the ticket for in the first place...

Re: GOT PULLED OVER LAST NIGHT!!!

Good to hear about your luck, also good to hear that there are still some good cops out there.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer
