F&F Tokyo Drift

So i'm a few months late to the movie, was an xmas present. Just got done watching it and as a small part of me is a car enthusiast, I enjoyed the movie for what it was.

Couple of things

i WISH they had an RX-8 as one of the main racer cars.
And also why wasn't there a single STi in the movie? or ANY subaru for that matter. Was this a 'pay to be in the movie' type thing where auto companies had to shell out the cash for a spot in the movie?

I don't know, being a Mazda fan, you can't help but just naturally look out for any zoom zoom in the crowd and there was a few including the main "love interests" ride.

What did you all think of the movie?

Re: F&F Tokyo Drift

Well, maybe because it is harder to do drifts in an AWD vehicle. Not impossible by any means, but it is certainly easier in a RWD vehicle in my opinion (and my limited experience).

They converted an Evo to RWD just for this movie, so I doubt having a subaru would have been much more difficult.

Re: F&F Tokyo Drift

um i think mitsubishi had a part in the movie right?

In 2fast 2furious it was a new eclipse and evo as main cars
In first fast and furious it was an eclipse as main car (in beginning, then supra)
and tokyo drift its an evo.

either someone loves mitsubishi or they paid for their cars to be in the movie.

I haven't seen Tokyo Drift yet... I've been meaning to catch it. I own the other two. In fact I watched the original today. It's always fun to break it out of the collection every once in a while.
