Re: Verizon Wireless VS Cingular

I've never had VW, I've got Cingular. They've never done my family or myself wrong, so I think they're good. But the problem with finding out info is that you need to get people who have had them both, and let them put up an official review.

Re: Verizon Wireless VS Cingular

I've had both and prefer Verizon. I can't remember any real problems with either, but Verizon seems to have better coverage where I live. These are the only two I would consider in my area. I have friends with Nextel/Sprint and Tmobile and the coverage is lousy.

Cingular, because Verizon is evil.

The worst thing about Verizon is that they have affordable plans, a good selection of phones, and a pretty large coverage area. Those are bad things because I'll never go back to them after being screwed personally by them a few times, and vicariously through some friend's/family another few times.

Re: Verizon Wireless VS Cingular

I have Cingular right now and will be changing too Verizon. Verizon has better coverage for what we need and where the wife works.

I had At&t/Cingular for years with no problems but they dont have coverage in certain areas we need and Verizon does.

Re: Verizon Wireless VS Cingular

Depends on your area.

I have Cingular and it works great both in Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus, Ohio perfectly. No dropped calls or anything. Verizon works well too, but where my mom lives in Pittsburgh, Verizon doesn't work very well and has a weak signal compared to my Cingular which has full service. I also like Cingular for their RollOver minutes. They have saved my ass more than once, and it was a big selling feature for me.

My brother has had Verizon for 5 years and he likes them other than they screw up his bill every six months. But all of his friends are on it, so his M2M calling saves him from wasting his minutes. He lives in NYC and if youre phone doesn't work there, it's not going to work anywhere.

I like T-Mobile. The coverage around here is excellent.
