When Nissan was forming the marketing team was given 2 days so come up with a name...

...they said "datsoon?"

I'm kind of surprised they didn't mention Chevy not bothering to rename the Nova before selling it in mexico (No va = "does not go" in spanish)

And also complete crap. Well I mean, yes, they did do that, but the car still sold exceedingly well (exceeded all sales forecasts in latin america).

Nova (Chevy)
Omega (Olds)
Ventura (Pontiac)
Apollo (Buic)
