Mazdasport Magazine

Just wondering if anyone subscribes to this magazine? I see it only comes out every 2 months. I asked for a subscription, but I didn't know if anyone had any feedback on it... and whether or not it is worth subscribing to, or should I save my money? Lemme know if you have any thoughts! Thanks!

I have a few issues that I bought at the local bookstore, of which I enjoyed, but My local store stopped selling it...I thought of subscribing to the magazine...it's not that expensive for a year, like $20 or $30-something...just not that motivated by the content of the mag. While they have some pics/stories of cool events, that magazine seems more like the "miata fan club" magazine to me, which means I'm "not that into the mag" as a 3 owner. I've noticed that they do have some write-ups about the 3 owners/cars, but mainly it's 70%miata/10%RX-7 or RX-8/5%other mazdas and about 15 % ADs. It's not really a "must-read" as a 3 owner, IMHO.

I buy it whenever it comes out just for poops and laughs, but I doubt I'll get a subscription for it

Re: Mazdasport Magazine

Thanks for the feedback fellas. Now, if I were to get a subscription to another similar type magazine, which would you recommend? I've read superstreet in the past, but I never subscribed... I don't really like the way that magazine goes with its articles... its a little 2Fast 2Furious for me. But what about Sport Compact Car, or others like that? Any suggestions or recommendations?

Re: Mazdasport Magazine

i have a subscription to it--i enjoy having it, there have been a number of articles about the 3 and the mazdaspeed 3 (last issue had an article about the speed3 and a member of this forum was also featured in the magazine)--i enjoy the magazine, yes i do agree the magazine is primarily about rx7, rx8, miata etc etc, but as a mazda driver its nice to know what else mazda is working on and the sucess of their other cars, its just nice to be informed--

Re: Mazdasport Magazine

glaive, thanks for the response. My fiance was going to order this for me for my birthday, because I had asked for it. What I am probably going to do, is give it a shot for the one year, and then if I don't care for it, move on to another magazine. Currently I don't have anything coming to me to read in the mail, so I want something!

Re: Mazdasport Magazine

Since it is published by Mazda Canada I am not expecting the most balanced or independent ideas or opinions. Not a bad magazine, but reading it I had the distinct impression that I was reading one big Mazda Advertisement. Not what I am looking for, but not a horrible magazine.

Re: Mazdasport Magazine

To me, that's ok if it is one big Mazda advertisement. I mean after all, I have one, I mod it, and I enjoy doing it. If it brings in new realms and opportunities for me in the aftermarket scene, all the better.
