Bandwidth test

Just wondering what some people think is the most accurate.

I've used:
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
http://reviews.cnet.com/7004-7254_7-0.html
http://www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/

If there are better ones let me know.

Re: Bandwidth test

Ive used speedtest.net and that seems fairly accurate with the actual download speeds ive seen in usenext. Speakeasy is pretty much on par with the results that I see on speedtest but i like speedtest's interface better. Plus it automatically saves your results on the bottom of the page.

Btw, here were my results

'05 sunlight silver metallic 3s: leather, abs, sports package, moonroof, 6cd changer.
Eclipse CD8445 HU w/ full steering wheel control, sirius, infinity reference 311a amp w/ perfect 12.1d sub, ported box, rainbow slc 265 components, diamond d3 amp, custom amp rack, superbright white led map and dome lights, sharkfin antenna, aftermarket heated seats, Ark Shortshifter

Re: Bandwidth test

I have only used speakeasy. I never thought to look else where since that is the only one that had ever been recommended.

Re: Bandwidth test

haha! I was waiting for someone to catch that. I just got verizon fios installed at our house. 20mb up for 34.99 a month-how can you beat that? I had optimum online for about a year and while i did get between 8-10mb peak, it seriously lagged during weekends and peak usage times. I haven't seen results below 20 with verizon since I've been checking...

Re: Bandwidth test

Mine's not quite as impressive... But the latency ain't too shabby for the distance! Also, Speakeasy should be nearly identical, other than the chance they are using their own servers. Otherwise, both are using custom packages from Ookla.

Re: Bandwidth test

I've been happy with Speakeasy. Of course with my el Cheapo 768k DSL it really doesn't matter!
