Re: Anyone skateboard?
I've had good experiences with Girl/Chocolate boards, however my recommendation is to check out a local shop and see how the board feels fright on your feet.
The fit and feel of the board is as subjective the fit of a shoe. For example a lot of the east coast, Zoo York boards in my hay day usually had full sweeping noses and tails and a lot of concave. It just didn't feel right to me. With the choco/girl boards I've ridden the concave is medial and the tail has more sharper taper.
Another thing about fuller boards their great for charging stuff at full speeds, big ollies, big stairs, big flips tricks, but they can be a bitch to relearn tricks with a bigger rig.
The smaller boards, 7 3/8's for myself, were easier to control and trick on, however your landing area is a bit smaller.
For me the narrower tail gave me great pop and the medial concave gave me predictable flips.
What it all comes down to is personal preference man, I'd say go out and get something that feels right to you and go out and skate!
Man I miss skating...
