Christmas Bonus Money... what should I do?!

So... I need some help ladies and fellas.... I just received a 1,000 dollar bonus for Christmas from my job today.... and my fiance has said that I can do whatever I want with it.... that I don't need to "invest" it or anything... My big thing that I'd like to do is put it towards an LCD HDTV... I like the Samsung's a lot.... or should I put together a surround sound system with my existing tv (32" Sony).... or should I put it towards mods for the 3? I mean theres so much stuff I could do, I just don't know how to channel my energies! I need your help!

Re: Christmas Bonus Money... what should I do?!

so much to consider

depends on how much TV you watch and if you're willing to pay the monthly prices for HDTV. Everything I watch is in HD....a few shows each week and then all the sporting events. I would say go for TV if you're kind of the same...but you're also looking at possibly spending more. You would need an up-converting DVD player too (that's my christmas present) If all you have done to you're 3 is what's in your sig....you might want to consider and exhaust and intake. That would keep you under the 1k, but maybe that's not the upgrade you're looking for

Re: Christmas Bonus Money... what should I do?!

donest look like you will get bigger then a 32" with a $1000 getting a LCD

I would go mods on car, or music in the room, i spent $200 on a 5.1 system by phillips and its pretty good.....
unless you where going to buy a amp system you can get more sound and a couple little mods

32" is probably about your limit if you buy it from a retail store... however if you shop around online you will find you can do a lot better. You should be able to find a 37" for about that price. My buddy just picked up a 42" Viewsonic LCD TV for $1300 with a $200 rebate. We just played some Gears of War on it, it looks dead sexy

I'd like to take a vacation again some time, so mine's going in the savings account until then!
