Re: Gopher Killer

first thing i'd say "goooooood boyyyy"

what kinda dog?

i think it's perfectly normal. only dogs that wont kill such animals or even attempt to are toy (sissy) dogs like my mom's chihuaha. my friend's jack russel use to kill birds if that makes you feel better. now it's kinda old and lost its juice.

Re: Gopher Killer

I have a wirehaired fox terrier, and he's a wuss. I think he'd get scared if he ever saw a rat/gopher. He doesn't even like to go out for a walk in the rain, because he doesn't like getting his feet wet. He even poops inside the house when the backyard is wet, and we have a doggie door where he can go out whenever he wants.

Sounds like you should take that dog hunting though, and get out some of his urge to kill

Re: Gopher Killer

I would think that is VERY healthy....they aren't called Rat Terrier because they look like a rat...I think you should start training the dog. I think he will be SUPER easy to train and very obedient(sp)

Re: Gopher Killer

I'm surprised he got some birds....Cats have a hard time getting birds some times.

Re: Gopher Killer

An ex girlfriend's dog would bring dead gophers into the house... make sure you train the dog NOT to do that.
