Saturday Night Fight

So I'm cruising with a bud of mine Sat. night and as we're driving a big white Denali comes flying up on my left. My buddy looks over just to see whos coming up and the guy in the back pasenger seat of the Denali yells "what you lookin' at punk " to my friend. At this point it's obvious these guys are being asshats and trying to start shit cuz the driver slows down to let his buddy continue taunting. He yells again (now hanging out the window)"What you lookin at Huh?" at this my bud replies. . .

Bud - "What. What'd ya say?"

Denali guy - "What you lookin at fool?"

Bud- "What?"

Denali Guy - "Are you f***ing deaf man?"

Bud - "I'm sorry. I couldn't understand you with you buddy's D*** in your mouth"

I crack up laughing at this cuz that line was freaking GOLD. The guy dissapears into the window and the next thing I know a cookie comes flying in my window. Before I can say anything my bud picks it up off my floorboard and throws it back at them. It hits right above the back passenger seat window and the driver yells "Don't throw shit at my car. I will kick your ass." I yell back "Don't throw shit at my car"

At this point we're coming up on a red light and sure enough we're going to be sitting right next to them. As soon as we stop the driver yells out " why don't you pull over so we can talk this out?" I look in his car and there's five of them that I can see. My buddy yells back, " Yeah right. So you and your buddies can jump us." The guy in the back that started all the shit yells..

Denali guy- "F***in Py"

Bud - "F*** you"

Denali guy- "What's that?"

Bud - "F*** you!"

I'm starting to think that this is getting out of hand and get ready to leave thier asses when the light turns green. Next thing I know the passenger has gotten out of the Denali and starts swinging at my friend through the window, at the RED light! In shock I'm kind of like WTF! and don't really know what to do. The guys about halfway in my window and my buddy has him tied up so neither one are really doing anything but struggling. I think I 've got do do something to help my bud so I unbuckle, reach across and grab him with my right hand, and start going to town on the side of his head with my left. The dude starts to try to pull away and I go back to my side of the car. At this point I realize that there's 4 more guys in the Denali and I need to get away from them before the rest decide to get out. I look behind me and my lane is clear so put it in reverse and start to back up. The guy pulls free from my bud as I start to back up and goes to get back into the Denali. The light turns green and I gun it past them.

My buddy and I look at each other and I say to him " Dude WTF was that?" He looks at me with this numb look on his face and says " dunno. Let's turn around and head the other way." As I'm looking for a place to turn around, my bud yells out " Shit man! There gonna throw something!" and starts to roll up the window. I look over just in time to see the Denali come flying past and then to be showered in a cold ass liquid.

I am pissed. I am ready to take on all 5 of them by myself. I don't care because they just totally disrespected my car. I'm wet, my dash is wet, my windshield is wet (on the inside), seats, headliner, it splashed everywhere.

My bud yells for me to follow them so he can get thier tag #. They start getting over to the right hand lane to turn and I start getting over to follow them. They turn right about 200 yards ahead of us. I make the turn and put through first and second hard but since they had such a big lead on me I was still too far behind to read thier tag. They don't show any signs of slowing down so I give up. I'm wasn't going to do a high-speed chase.

My bud calls the incident into the police and they said they'd putan APB on the vehicle and passenger description. I know they couldn't really do anything since we didn't get a tag. I pull into a 7-11 and my buddy and I start to use the paper towles at the pump to wipe down my interior. I felt so sick. I've kept the interior of my car looked brand new.

Long story I know. Told my step-dad about it and I told him how I wish I had grabbed the Mag-lite in my back seat to use on that kid. He said that they could have charged me with assault with a deadly weapon. I think that it would have been self defence. The cars allmost 100%. The headliner is a little discolored so I'm thinking about having it replaced. I really needed to get that out.

Thanks for your time guys. (and gals)

technically speaking, if someone comes into your car like that you're well within your rights to use a weapon to defend yourself. (specifics vary by state of course)

however, in many jurisdictions you give up a claim of self defense when you engage in the sort of actions you describe before the actual assault takes place. At that point you're just as guilty as the guy who throws the first punch or enters your vehicle. It's not self defense if you talk shit before the fight or otherwise engage them prior to the assault. That's not legal advice, just a general comment on how many of the self defense laws are written.

So, in other words, if you want to be able to kick the shit out of them and not get charged, then keep silent and let them come to you. Chances are, it wouldn't have gone beyond the first dirty looks if your friend hadn't made his incredibly funny yet tension-escalating comment.

Sounds like an exciting night. I don't understand this, however:

Re: Saturday Night Fight

I don't think that anything else will come of this.

By disrepecting my car I mean they hit my half-way rolled up window with a drink that that then splashed into my car. Wouldn't that be disrespecting my car? Assault on my car maybe?

Re: Saturday Night Fight

that sucks man!! i hate being in those outnumbered situations. but damn, it just goes to show how retarded people are. pulling up next to strangers and talking shit. that is so high schoolish. some people on this planet are no smarter than a fucken chimp.

you know, when that guy was halfway in your window wrestling your friend, you should just stomped on the gas and lay his ass out. that's what i wouldve done.

Re: Saturday Night Fight

this one time at the cruise, my lil bro and this other kid were yelling "Oh" out of my car and this truck dude pulled outta the lot and was next to us when they yelled it and the dude thought my bro and friend called him "hoe". so he gets in front of me after driving next to me giving me a mean stare. and brakes and we stop in the middle of the road. WHAT. and then he gets out, and comes over to me, and was like are you guys talking crap and im like no man, they are just kids. then he goes away.
