Who's camping for a PlayStation 3?

I realize there is a PS3 thread, but since this is about if you are planning to wait it out in the cold or not, justifies another thread. Simple question, do you plan to camp out for a ps3 on november 16th-17th? Are you keeping it or selling it? Feel free to share any stories if you've camped out in the past (ps2, xbox 360). Me personally I am planning to camp out at a local best buy, similar to what I did with PlayStation 2. At that time, the system was $299, and turned around and sold it for $800 cash to a interested party in Chicago. This system will run $599, and judging from early ebay auctions $1,500-$2,000 is to be expected. Considering the supply is very low (400,000) I believe, demand in late november will be peaking, and a decent amount of people will not want to part with thier system, the going price should be considerable. I would never wait overnight for some piece of hardware, not when you can make such a profit. If you really wanted to, go back 6 months later and buy a system and alot of games you want with the winnings in November.
I remeber when I camped out for ps2, things were pretty peaceful overnight, with about 150 people lined by 4am. Closer to when the store was opening, parents and such tried to sneak in line, and about 10 minutes before they opened there was a mad rush to the door, I was right up front and at first was literally jammed against the automatic door glass. Luckily we had a list so everyone who was rushing was eventually not going to get anywhere irregardless of where in line they were. People were let in the store 5 at a time, and I remeber when I was leaving the store holding the ps2 close to me, since there was about 25 people who were staring at me, pissed since thier little johnny couldn't get his christmas present. Overall it was a good time, drink some booze, bust out the portable weber grill, bundle up and wait. I really think the timing and manufacturing issues with ps3 is a perfect storm. If I could take away $1,000 PROFIT from this that would be great, and it seems that is very likely. What do you guys plan to do?

i will camp out and sell it to the highest bidder, i could give 2 shits about video games anymore. 1000 buck profit sounds good to me.

Re: Who's camping for a PlayStation 3?

I was gonna buy one right away but I'm gonna wait for a year until the supply meets the demand and waste my money on booze instead.

Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer

LOL it is only wasted if you spill it.

If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will.
