Does anyone do this to *you*? I'm sure....

OKay, so my whole office and family and circle of friends (and roomates) knows I like cars.

Last week, when I worked almost 50 hours, my roommate IMs me asking if I can help him install a light bulb in his taillight. Also last week, my boss had me drive her har to see what was wrong with it. Her rotors are warped, and either her bearing or, morelikely, her CV joint, was shot to ***t. Today, my boss made me go with her to the mechanic down the road to make sure he didn't screw her over LOL!

Does this happen to you guys? It's kind of annoying. I get the same thing with computers..... "You work on computers for a living? Mine is doing this thing...."

BLEH!

My boss called it a "special assignment" today haha. At least she's a very nice boss.

boy-oh-boy, it happens to me daily! Computers especially...I don't mind helping a brotha out, but they usually had 3 numbnuts try to fix things already, and they usually make things worse and harder to troubleshoot.

My family always asks me questions about their cars. I don't mind helping them. For my close friends, I am more than happy to go with them to the mechanic, but I try and get them to go to mine.

My father called me up one day when he was broken down on the side of the road, asking me what was wrong with his car. Quite funny.

Yeah...they're like, "my car did this!"
"Can you tell me what it sounded like?"
"kathunk!"
"Can you spell that?"
"....no."

Actually, he was pretty descriptive when he rang me. I asked him a few simple questions and I was actually able to figure out what happened. He's an architect, so hes good at describing things to me.

LoL i have a who slew of chores I need to do for my dad relating to my "expertise."

1st off he claims I blew his speakers in his car when I last drove it about 2 years ago. Since he knows I can replace speakers since I've done it in 2 seperate cars, I need to replace his speakers. 2nd, since my mom's computer is 10 years old and he doesn't want to shell out the cash for a new one, I have to build her a budget system that is fast. YAY. Finally, I had to install the VOIP system in our house and take care of all the phone calls and bills associated with making that switch. Oh and god forbid if the network at home goes down...yikes.

That's not even the worst part, my friend's brother calls me incessantly when any little thing goes wrong on his computer. "My aim doesn't work, how do I fix it?" I don't fucking know why it doesn't work, are you even connected to the internet? URGH. That's the worst one of all, everytime he IMs me or calls I just ignore it.

Titanium Grey HB 5 spd, ABS, Moonroof, Leather seats, Exel RS-GT 17x7.0 Hyperblack 225/45/17 Azenis RT-615, Racing Beat Front/Rear Sway + Endlinks, Mazdaspeed MSP3 Coilovers, 88 AWR Mount, Apexcone 6000k HID, I deturboed my car and removed my built engine. I'm now stock powertrain + an Injen.
