so why so secretive about it?

there seems to be ALOT of talk about the bannishment of kevin and all the mods/admins can say is "there was LOTS of time spent cleaning up his mess" how about some example. Kevin insists that there was nothing.

I would agree it's a repost but why is no one talking?

Okay, here's one thread... http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=49239.0 ... it's last post ends with Kevin wondering why he had a post deleted (fyi, he likes to post sarcastic comments once and again... and we hear an earful about it from the irate original posters of those threads).

Here's another thread... http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=43962.0 ... the original poster sent us a PM along the lines of "why the fuck do you let that kevin harrass people in this section"

Here's another thread ... http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=44357.0 ... the thread's last post has DFMKevin wondering if the original poster has a life.

I could go on and on and on... but I am tired.

And of course, I'm sure the "dfmkevined" contingent is not satisfied... oh well.

Re: so why so secretive about it?

1) Kevin was fine ... we were about to make him a SM and his name came up that he should be a SM. But, soon after his name came up (but he wasn't made SM yet) there was this period where another member was all crazy and shit telling us this forum was run like shit and needed change. He went about it with numerous annoying threads (under the guise of helping) where he basically made an underlying message that some mods sucked, that the site wasn't tolerant enough, and that he wasn't getting respect. From this, Kevin somehow got mixed up in everything and then he joined the "REJECT" club. You know, the users that are (as you put it) individual and out to be good members without doing exactly what the mods and admins want. VU-Juan was in there, and some others.

2) The REJECT crew (not all of them did all things, but their actions were all lumped together) decided that their way to get change was to start causing mods and admins headaches. They'd bitch about avatars, complain about unfairness, and then still demand respect. You tell me, since when did such behavior by anobody in any time in the history of the world lead to the desired outcome. All he did was tarnish how he was viewed by others.

3) Randomly, which I still cannot understand, he went after that guy that posted sweepstakes. Really, i am confused what brought this on. Doesn't really make him seem like the best m3f member though... and this happened really early in the whole debacle.

4) This is where kevin was banned the first time for getting into some snippy shit where that stripper-girl said Juan had "turbo-lag-of-the-penis" and the Kevin went apeshit because mods were still mad at him directly (for the sweepstakes shit) but then kevin was still a "REJECT" so he went in and posted a "private" PM to him to defend Juan.

5) Kevin goes into this weird passive-proactive mode. He starts trying to be the model member. <Another member> tried this too. I tell u this much, if OJ Simpson decided to suddenly be normal and go get a job as Senator (like Sonny Bono and Arnold), would he get any votes? I don't think so. You can draw whatever inference from my analogy that you'd like.

6) Kevin's in that situation where he copied 909's avatar (or assatar) and then 909 got pissed because he thought he was being harrassed (he let us know how unhappy he was)... and then made their linked avatar into some gay dude. But, the problem wasn't that kevin's avatar became a gay dude... it was that 909 was fuckin' pissed that us admins were being so nice to kevin and bookeem.

7) Through all this, we get random reports where Kevin is appealing to mods to get a fair shake. All this does is make 'em mad. Then we get reports about how kevin is being, for lack of a better word, shitty. It's not like he called them faggots and whore-mongers, but he was being odd... and often rude. ie: assuming Sixx edited buy/sell rules to make a point about how his posting was unecessary in a buy/sell thread.

8 ) Finally - for the 50th time - A lot of the damage control we had to do was deleting of innappropriate posts in the forums. They were deleted for a reason, and he kept posting after repeated requests to stop. We cannot show many more examples than Holey already posted because they were, say it with me, DELETED.

Holey, I can't see any of those thread you linked to. I get this message "The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you." If I can't see those threads I don't think anyone else can and that leads to a somewhat weak argument.

Titanium Grey HB 5 spd, ABS, Moonroof, Leather seats, Exel RS-GT 17x7.0 Hyperblack 225/45/17 Azenis RT-615, Racing Beat Front/Rear Sway + Endlinks, Mazdaspeed MSP3 Coilovers, 88 AWR Mount, Apexcone 6000k HID, I deturboed my car and removed my built engine. I'm now stock powertrain + an Injen.

Re: so why so secretive about it?

It wouldn't be in deleted threads if it didn't have to get moved there to begin with. But, my point is that I can view them, and I'm not making them up. Hence why I make a point to explain each topic. But, I want to prove the topic exists (with the topic ID). My intention wasn't for people to read the topics so much as to just explain that the problem(s) existed.
