What does this mean?

Yesterday I was drinving too my parents house and some kid in a 4 door Civic wanted to race me. We stopped at one light and he was ahead of me and on my left. At the next light he waited for me so we would be side by side when the light turned green. He looked at me with this dumbass grin on his face and started reving his engine. I just looked at him and laughed. I decided I was not in the mood and I had somewhrere to be. The Civic didn't look riced out, the only thing I saw was the coffee can looking muffler. As I made a left off of that street, I noticed that he flashed 2 rear lights.

Just wondering, Did that mean he thinks I was chicken for NOT racing me?
Its been about 10 yrs since i actaully raced anyone on the street. Back in the day i had a '78 Camaro

Re: What does this mean?

A lot of times, I used it often, I flash my hazards to let them know it was fun but I am on my own way now....or if they are in front of me, I high beam them twice. Different meanings to different pll....I honestly think it depends on the area your in....if your on the highway and some one gets in front of you and does it, they want to race. Once you guys have been messing around and your pretty much done, it's just like "it was fun, c-ya around". Agian, I think it depends on what area you're in...I bet you wish you had that 78 Chevy....I would.

Re: What does this mean?

I usually flash my 4-ways to thank someone for letting me change lanes. *Was the civic a new one?? ...not that it matters. *Stock to stock, the Civic can't touch the 3.

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway.

Re: What does this mean?

I knew someone would throw the Si in there.

Agreed... but we're not talking about the Si.

Re: What does this mean?

in an organized street racing event, the winner would flash their hazards to let the people in the back know who won.

it's known as the ricer fly by: someone cuts you off rudely while they're passing you, and flash their hazards, as if to say my car is better than yours.

It's like pointing a finger to the moon....concentrate on the finger, and you miss all that heavenly glory
