------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thats all information I have on the call right now. 1 Teenager was killed, state police are still reenacting the accident. Vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed, and passed on a blind turn, to be met head on by another vehicle. The car dodged to the woods, lost control, got airborne, back flipped, connected with a tree 15 feet in the air, ejected the dead teenager, landed on the floor and exploded into flames. 1 teen was able to self extricate, then helped the other out before the vehicle became fully involved. Both other teens were flown out to CMC for severe trauma wounds, 1 with severe internal bleeding and the other with severe head wounds.

they were flown by helicopter to community medical center, sorry about not being specific, thats the CMC in Scranton, PA. anyway, ive got the update on the transcripts, but confidentiality issues keep me from releasing it. but anyway, i can release the call log.

Date of Call: 02-23-06
Time of Call: 1805 Hours
Departments:Blooming Grove Fire Co., Hemlock Farms Fire & Rescue Co., and Pike ALS
Location of Call: Well Rd. (Rt. 434) Blooming Grove Township
Description of Call: MVA with possible entrapment, multiple serious injury, and fire. While enroute 29-1 requested two helicopters (MedEvac I&II) on stand-by, an additional BLS Ambulance from Squad 21, and an additional ALS Unit from Honesdale EMS. Station 23 was also requested to begin set up for the landing zone at Pine Forest Camp. A DCNR Forestry Unit arrived on scene and confirmed 2 serious injuries both out of the vehicle, one DOA also out of the vehicle, and vehicle on fire. Units from 25 & 29 arrived shortly thereafter to treat injuries and extinguish fire. MedEvac II was requested and flew 2 patients to the local trauma center. Well Rd. was closed for an extended period of time due to accident investigation by the Pa. State Police and Pike County Coroner's Office.
Units Assigned: 25 Rescue 1, 25 Tanker 2, 29 Rescue 1, Ambulance 297, Ambulance 298, and Medic 401
Mutual Aid:Ambulance 216 on scene, 23 Engine 2 for LZ, Medic 5043 cancelled prior to scene arrival, 27 Engine 1 cancelled prior to scene arrival.

Alrighty, giving a quick update guys...

Car was estimated to have left the ground at 110 mph.

Vehicle was an eagle talon

2 ejections

Update, it I forgot to mention it was up to 2 fatalities, the driver, Ronnie, and his girlfriend both died. Seat belt didnt fail, the actually seat itself did. like the other talon, the hatch failed and the impact ejected them out that way.

Cripes... passing on a blind curve at 110mph. I know I did some dumb things when I was in my teens, but this is a whole new level of stupidity. I hope the thrill was worth the consequences.

Sheesh. I hate it when kids are stupid and make me work harder (don't get me wrong, I'm sorry two of them had to die to learn something).

Re: Motor Vehicle Accident....Big Time!

oh man I remember being on this one call and once we got there there was this vehicle in the median, the only way I found out it was a prelude is the "prelude" in the back otherwise it was just a chunk of metal. everything covered in blood all windows shattered...it was a mess and to top it all off the car was packed with drugs.
