Intel Mac Mini, iPod Boombox, Leather iPod Cases from Apple

Not a whole lot of details yet, but:

Mac mini:
Two Models: One, for $599, has a 1.5-GHz Intel Core solo processor with a 60GB hard drive, combo drive that plays DVDs and burns CDs and 512MB of memory. The other, which goes for $799, has a 1.67-GHz Core Duo processor, an 80GB hard drive, 512MB of memory and a SuperDrive that burns CDs and DVDs. Both will be available starting today.

iPod Hi-Fi (Boombox): integrated power supply. six d-size batteries. 2 80mm wide-range drivers. in sealed acoustic suspension. bass system: 130mm dual voice coil woofer. ported bass reflex design. "and it doesn't distort when you crank it up". universal dock connector. integrated handles
Apple has updated the iPod's software to accommodate the new speaker system -- a new software update will add a "Speaker" menu to the iPod's interface, allowing users to adjust tone control, control the backlight and turn on large album art.
What's more, the iPod Hi-Fi can be controlled with the Apple Remote. It can also accept input through an auxiliary jack and SPDIF optical audio input.

interesting. the pricepoint is a bit high for the mac mini IMO. when will there be more info?

THe event is going on right now, so give it half an hour.
I agree the price point is a bit high, but it depends what the total system specs are - gonna have to wait for the Apple Store to come back online (they shut it down during press events).

eh, i was hoping that the mini would have the 740 or higher processer in it. :?

yah, somthing with 1.7GHz or higher and 533MHz FSB.

Those are the old Pentium M's... not the new Core processors. These have 667 MHz FSB's and range from 1.5 to 2.16 (soon 2.33) GHz, coming in both single and dual core versions.

oh, my mistake. i thought the core singles were pentium M's

So, nothing really groundbreaking today, but the Hi-Fi is a pretty cool system esp with its AirTunes support, and the Mac mini is a decent upgrade.
