Anyone heard of Power-Plate?

My parent's company is going to be using this Power-Plate thing pretty soon.

http://power-plate.us/

Apparently it works on vibration technology. It has something to do with the Russian Astronauts that used this same technology for space training.

I jumped on this thing today skeptical as hell haha. And wow was I impressed. Basically it cuts down an hour's work out to about 15-20 minutes.

Has anyone else tried it?

Re: Anyone heard of Power-Plate?

I dunno, these days almost everything 'cuts down' on your workout time, when in reality the results aren't always better with a short workout time. I am curious though as to what other people who used it will think of it.

Power-Plate generates natural stretch reflex
The human body has natural reflexes such as the eye-lid reflex, the touch reflex and the stretch reflex. The stretch reflex is that which occurs when a doctor taps your knee with a hammer, this causes a reflex that extends the leg. The Power-Plate generates a continuous special stretch reflex called the Tonic Vibration Reflex in all involved muscles.
Hmm... skeptical too.

How much $$ are they looking at? I'm looking at one of those Bowflex Crossbows for my soon to be sun room.

EDIT:

AH... now I see what it's for:

Well you don't buy the machine for personal use....it costs too much. It's like $10k a machine....it's more for commercial use.

All I know is I was on the thing today and I was sweating like a pig after 15 minutes. Various different exercises you can do.

Maybe it has a heater in it?

More intense with less time in exercising isn't always better though.
