Re: Howard Stern

Listened for a bit on the drive in...Started with the theme to 2001 with farts in the song....Had George Takei (sulu on Star Treck) as a announcer and had mic issues to start with....Too bad hes not streaming on Sirius internet feed yet....

Re: Howard Stern

So here's a question, Is Howard Stern alone enough to make you want sirius?

No... but if all things were equal, he might be a tie-breaker.

Re: Howard Stern

Listen to the whole show. I have the Sirius Lifetime subscription, Boombox, and car kit so I have the best of both worlds. Show was typical Stern, minor problems here and there, nothing new; first show and first week. Stern seem very comfortable. George Takei was outstanding and excellent announcer. The Stern show will be greater on Sirius. I believe the show will be rebroadcast on Howard 100 @ 6PM EST and on Howard 101 @ 9PMPST.

To answer the second question, "Is Howard Stern alone enough to make you want sirius?" No. Why?

Because I did not buy Sirius satellite radio on Fall 2004 for Stern. I bought Sirius before Stern announcement he was going to Sirius. I bought Sirius for the Music (Trance, 60's oldies, 70's classic rock, Classical, and others with no commercial). I also bought Sirius satellite radio receiver with the boombox because I was moving in November 2004 from a smaller home to a bigger home and I had to remodel and paint the whole home and I needed music to keep going and finish the project. I also do ammunition reloading in my spare time hobby and Sirius commercial free music is great for hours of reloading for the hunt, traget, and competition matches. So no, I did not buy Sirius for Howard Stern; so I bought-it for the great music.

Re: Howard Stern

The reason for my question is I want to get an idea of whether or not I should carry more Sirius products in the store here. If Howard is a huge draw than maybe I'll sell more. If he's just an added bonus than I'll keep inventory the same.
Just looking to all of you as a barometer. Thanks for the answers.

Kevin

Re: Howard Stern

Kevin Ive had Sirius for 2+ years now so I had it before the Howard announcement..... Keep in mind though they went from 600000 subscribers to over 3.3million in the 1 1/2 yrs since Howards announcement. Sunday the wait to speak to a activation person was over 9 hours with some stores selling out of their inventory so Howard will be/is a huge dra for them....... Supposedly they will be streaming the show on the web thru Sirius website shortly for subscribers so I should be able to listen to Stern between customers....
