Has anyone had pneumonia before? (Updated)

Last weekend I had the Flu. Throwing up, chills, fever and the rest. After about a week later I got a nasty cold. Sneezing, coughing, sore throat and that went away after a few days. Now I was feeling good until yesterday morning and then out of nowhere I started throwing up, fever, chills, sore throat. My hands got numb and I still feel like crap. Has anyone had pneumonia before? Reason I ask is because my dad got really sick on Christmas day and the doctors claim he has the pneumonia virus. I'm too weak to get up and go to the doctor and shit to get help. Anything I can do to get better. What did you all do to get rid of it?

Re: Has anyone had pneumonia before?

It sounds like you have influenza! You really should go see a physician, anytime that you get extended periods of fever and chills is cause for concern. Fever and chills are one the hallmarks of Influenza which can progress to pneumonia. If you begin coughing up green colored sputum you may have pneumonia (you really should see a Doctor). As far as the fever and chills go, ibuprofen (Advil) will help with that. Hope you get to feeling better!

I really think you should get "checked out". It really does sound like Influenza!
