Need help buying an MP3 Player

Ok looking for an mp3 player for my brother for christmas as well as myself. alls i want is something thats 1GB of storage or more, a usb flash drive type that can hold information as well as play mp3's. and costs around $100. ive found like one or two so far. im sure someone knows more then me about these cause there like a million to choose from.

I'm guessing for that much capacity and that price you can only pick from flash drive mp3 players, right?

flash mp3 player sux, they get messed up too quick... or at least the ones i've come across. with 100 bucks, get your brother an IPOD shuffle... but good luck finding it though.

I love hte shuffles for their simplicity, so I'd go with them... but that's me.

I have a 40G iPod and thought I'd get a Shuffle to use when I work out. For $149, it was a waste of money. There are good MP3 players out there for a lot less money. Not sure which is the best, though.

Really I think you need to spend a couple hundred for a good mp3 player... all of the $100 ones are really very basic low end stuff for specific uses. Once you get in the $200 range, there's the iPod Nano and many others.

well that samsung one was the one i got and i tell ya what it works great so far! holds a good amount of music on it. now i just gotta get that hookup for the headunit in the car. does anyone know if i would be able to run a wire from the back of my headunit to the ashtray area?
