LCD monitor suggestions for my compooper.

Hey everyone I need to get a new LCD monitor before I travel back to school because I'm sick of lugging my 17" CRT back and forth. It takes up way too much space in my hatch and I need to have lots of deskspace up at school. With that said can anyone recommend me an LCD monitor that would suit my needs; I am looking for a 19" or larger monitor that has a good refresh rate and response time (since I play games) and that pretty much looks fantastic.

The two monitors I had in mind were the ViewSonic VX922 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824116375 because of its 2ms respone rate and the Sceptre X20G-Naga III (or a similar model, I know costco has one on sale for around 350 dollars) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824112176 because of it's wide aspect ratio and larger viewing area.

Of those two which do you think I should get and if you have any better suggestions please throw them out here.

Thanks.

look for a Samsung 930B, 19" 4ms gtg(or 8ms btb)...extremely nice with DVI and analog input.

Mmmm scratch that sceptre monitor, apparently it has tearing issues that I don't wanna deal with.

lol lemme add one more restriction onto this.

I'm a somewhat poor college student and I'm saving up for a turbo. With that said try and keep it under 450 dollars.

I think viewsonic is a good brand. i've had my LCD for 5-6 years now with no problems. Almost wish it would break so i could get a bigger monitor.

I can vouch for Samsung monitors. I have a 910t and it's awesome.

I would definitely get a wide screen, but they cost.

Re: LCD monitor suggestions for my compooper.

you could probably get a 17 incher and save some money, while still getting great quality. I mean, how badly do you really need those two diagonal inches?
