Gift Wrapping = Pure TORTURE

OK guys, how many of you "butcher" it when wrapping a gift? I'm all thumbs when it comes to this chore and usually waste more wrapping paper than ends up on the package. What's even more frustrating is that when I watch a female wrap a gift, it's nothing more than size it up, fold, tape, add bow, done. The kicker is it always looks great and there is practically no wasted paper. I just don't get it. Ladies, feel free to chime in too.

I love wrapping presents! No problems at all with how I do it either. One year I worked at a bookstore and learned a really good way to wrap rectangular objects (books and clothes boxes) so now my wrapping is even better. I think women are so good at it b/c we have a lot more practice at giving gifts.

When it comes to gift wrapping, I become Anal. I'm such a gay guy when wrapping a gift. Everything is correct and matching. I use to gift wrap at the mall to raise money for a non-profit organization. Even though I love the ladies, I have my gay ways.

ooohhh, I just LOVE wrapping gifts!! Every year I have to go out and buy a new type of paper. Can't use the same paper 2 times in a row! The girls may catch on.. lol Last year it was care bares, this year.. Dora... I go ALL out with the bows and boxes, tags, etc ....

Ah, and ALWAYS write on the tags that they are from "Santa" the girls just love that!

Yeah - girls dig that sorta thing. If I put a smaller present in a large box, I'll usually wrap that one too, but in magazine paper or the comics.

Re: Gift Wrapping = Pure TORTURE

You can mark me down for no gift wrapping skills. I'm usually the jackass at the mall waiting in line at the free gift wrapping booth with 10 packages. My dad and I every year try to make the "hardest to open" gift. We usually go through several rolls of duct tape, some deep freezing, super glue etc etc. It drives my mom nuts since she likes to make all the gifts look foo foo and nice. Anyone one else's mom/wife/girlfriend try to open the gifts real slow and along the edges so they can reuse the paper and decorations?
