Director for Halo movie choosen

Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Blade II) seems to be a pretty strong rumor. I will actually see this movie if he does it, I had no interest in it before. if you've never heard of him, check out 'The Devils Backbone'. Awesome movie.

It was said on Attack of the Show this morning that Peter Jackson the known producer to the Halo movie coming in late 2006 or 2007, went to non other than Guillermo Del Toro, director of HellBoy and Blade 2, to direct the movie. I believe its also said the Peter Jackson wants in a little bit in the direction of the film. A co-Directed film sounds good to me. Guillermo Del Toro has said to have put off Hellboy 2 to later to help in the Halo Movie.

Re: Director for Halo movie choosen

I sadly don't think del Toro will direct Halo. I think it would be a great fit but everything I read everywhere is that the timing won't work out and del Toro will be doing Hellboy2 instead of Halo. The only way this doesn't happen is if the budget for Hellboy2 is no where near what del Toro expects and he opts to not go with it.

Danger, have you heard any rumors on possible MC's for the movie?
