Moving-how many times have you moved?

I read some place that in your life time, you'll move 27 times. At least, that's the average.

I'm no where near that number.

I've moved 4 times, that's it! Well, 4 times for home and once for business.

Moving sucks.

How many times have you moved?

Are YOU talking to me?

Re: Moving-how many times have you moved?

I've moved from...

- I lived in Pittsburgh, PA for the first 7 years of my life.
- Then, I moved from Pittsburgh, PA to New Carrolton, MD in 1983. (one move)
- Next, we moved to Germantown, MD in 1987. (two moves)
- Then, we moved to Damascus, MD in 1988. (three moves)
- Next, we moved to Frederick, MD in 1990. (four moves)
- All those places we rented until buying a house in 1991 in Smithsburg, MD. (five moves).
- After high school, I moved to Hagerstown in 1996. (six moves)
- I moved back home same year. (seven moves)
- I moved back out of home in 2000. (eight moves)
- G'friend and I moved the following year to another apt in 2001 (nine moves)
- G'friend and I moved the next year to another apt. in 2002. (10 moves)
- G'friend (and now wife) moved one more time to place we are at now in 2003. (11 moves)

So, I've moved 11 times from 1976 until 2003. From 1976 until 1996 I moved around because parent's were either switching jobs or trying to find somewhere to buy a house. From 1996 until now I moved due to g'friends.

Anyone beat 11?

4 times - College in Tucson, 2 apartments, then into the house I've had for the last 13 years.

Now, helping other people move...* That I've lost count.
