Got a Cold? Stay away from NyQuil/DayQuil

Sorry crystal meth users.

Vicks changed the formulation of their popular NyQuil and DayQuil products, removing the active ingredient pseudoephedrine due to its use in making crystal meth. The new active ingredient does nothing for nasal congestion, and the entire product is less effective. Check the labels before buying your usual cold product to avoid "surprises".

They probably offer both Im guessing, Ive noticed more and more companies offering their medications without the pseudoephedrine, so that you can buy more than two packs in the course of a month...How sad that we have to change the way our drugs are made because some meth head fuckers wants to use my cough medicine to make meth...ass holes..

Stay away from Tylenol Ultra too but for the opposite reason. It contains Caffeine and if you don't read carefully you can make your day pretty interesting. I got SO sick a few months back. All I wanted was to sleep but I had a HUGE headache. So I took this stuff....no sleep for me. "each capsule contains 150 mg of caffeine"....and the reccommended dose for a adult is 2 caps, so 300mg of caffeine every 8 hours....umm that's not safe nor effective if you want to sleep at all. Anyhow its a good pill if you have a headache and it isn't 4 hours before bed but i recommmend 1 cap max. I usually have a high tolerance to drugs too.

Caffeine is also really helpful for people with migraines.

Re: Got a Cold? Stay away from NyQuil/DayQuil

OK wait, I'm not overly intelligent.

DayQuil Sinus (caps) has Pseudoephedrine.
DayQuil Liquid has Pseudoephedrine.
DayQuil (caps), NyQuil (liquid), and Nyquil Cough do not.
