How much are movie tickets in your town?

The price of movies keeps going up.

And of course everything at the concession stand is high way robbery too.

There's a really cool theater complex nearby called the Bridge here in LA.
http://www.thebridgecinema.com/home/home.asp?l=7801

They have reserved seats, stadium seating and IMAX.

And of course it's all very expensive!

check out the prices to buy a ticket on line to see Jarhead in the Directors Hall:
https://www.movietickets.com/purchas...;house_id=7801

$1 service charge
$3 Premier charge
$8.75 ticket price

total is $12.75 per ticket
and that's before you get a drink, popcorn or candy....

how much are movies tickets where you live?

Are YOU talking to me?

well regular price at the "high end theatre" here is 9.95CDN + if online purchase $1 per ticket. no premeir charge that I have ever seen but that is the same company www.movietickets.com.

We also have a great screen bad seats theatre at 7.95

and of course almost every city has at least one cheapo theatre.

Re: How much are movie tickets in your town?

My old one was 3$ matinee and 5$ regular. Last time I went they were 5$ matinee and 7.50 for regular. Sad part is they still have the same crappy seats.

We have Danburry Dollar Savers (they buy the movies after they've shown at the other theaters) and show them for 3-5$. Seats aren't too bad. Still better than the crappy theater back home.

We also have the standard theaters. Run 8.50 regular. Matinee ?? dunno. 1$ off with student/military ID. Some have awesome seats. Full backed, reclining, moveable armrests (better for well... )

On base I think it is 4.50 for a movie. But it's a PITA to find a buddy with time and a base pass.

All prices USD.

$9 bucks, seems like every year they add another dollar. The last time I was there, it was $8 bucks.
