Hey any of you nerds have Lexis or Westlaw experience?

I'm getting pissed with both of them. How the heck do you pull up a full statute? None of this section by section crap it seems to love (in this case, 740 ILCS 174). It's sad when I have to rely on Findlaw.com for a useful search.

I don't know how to do any of that, but Lexis-Nexis is about 15 miles from my house. I'll drive over and start kicking some asses for you, starting at the top and finishing with the valet underwear starcher. Deal?

i used them both for a class i had last year and i remember it was a pain in the ass sometimes. i just logged on real quick to westlaw-try putting a . after ILCS and type that into the "find a case by citation" in the corner

I need a soft copy (740 Ill. Comp. Stat. 174/1-35), hence the problem. But I'm more talking for general use. I have a photo copy of this statute for the moment.

Yeah, just as with Findlaw. That's like saying I could go to a Reporter or findlaw for cases though... not exactly the same thing as Lexis/Westlaw. As long as I have free access to the two, much rather use those, with all their headnotes and related searches and such.

But anyway, I'll take that to mean that I can't pull it up?
