Taxi experience?

Unless you are from Montana or out in the woods, you have at least seen a taxi on the road.
In most big cities not a day goes by without seeing one.
Here in Las Vegas they are all over.
What has your experience been with taxis?
Got any taxicab confession stories (HBO series)?

Been cut off too many times?
Driver drove like a maniac?
Did "it" in the back seat?
Driver took you the long way?
Stiffed the driver (no tip)?
Perhaps threw up in the back?
Or just it was a very pleasant experience!

Re: Taxi experience?

Actually, taxis are pretty rare out here too.
I've ridden in one 3 times. Once in Houston a really long time ago, and I don't remember the reason, a second time in NYC, and a third time in Dublin, Ireland.

Re: Taxi experience?

In DC, it seems like 50% of the cabbies are Ethiopian....the other half seem to be Eritrean. If you try and guess which one your cabbie is, make sure you get it right because they frigging HATE each other. But the both hate Nigerians, so you could bring that up if you want to laugh.

Ok, maybe that doesn't really account for all of them, as I've ridden with some middle eastern guys and a few Indians (Asian Indian, not Native American).

Regardless of where they're from they're all nuts and will gladly kill themselves and you for the possibility of getting just one more fare that night.

Re: Taxi experience?

me too, I went from the Sahara from the Sinatra show, back to my hotel at Harrahs. That cab was clean. Plus there was a whole lot of PT Cruisers as cabs for some reason.
