Looking into buying a camera, need help.

Hey guys, i know a lot of you are really into photography. ive always wanted to get into it but never exactly had any equipment. im kind of getting about $300 to blow and figured why not, now's my chance. so ive been looking at a few cameras that i think are good onthe surface but some of you who are better might have a better knowledge then me. im looking into spending around $300 and i would def. want something with a flash built on to it and something with a manual focus as well as an autofocus of course. heres some that im looking into in that order:

FinePix S5200 / S5600 Zoom
$371

Olympus SP-500 Ultra-Zoom

Almost everything depends on what you're going to shoot (people, cars, sports, vacation trips....etc.) and where you're going to shoot. I assume since you wanted a built in flash (most have them) you're shooting more indoors than outside.

But when you go to a camera shop, the sales person should ask you several questions so they can direct you to the best model camera.

Are YOU talking to me?

I have a Canon digital rebel which I LOVE, but it's probably a bit out of your price range

actually id prob. be shooting more outdoors then in, but with a flash it makes it a little more versitle.
