Getting exercise in parking lots?

So do you find yourself parking WAAY out in the parking lot at stores just so noone will ding your car? Perhaps getting a new car is good for your health -- you get more exercise!!

Thoughts?

Re: Getting exercise in parking lots?

yep, i park real far away.

they started work on a parking structure at my school, and in doing so closed off a few hundred parking spots. so now at school i have to park out even farther to get away from the cars. id say its a good half mile walk to class now from the auxiliary parking lot i park in.

Re: Getting exercise in parking lots?

Around my area in Jersey, even the furthest spots get filled. :-( I still try to get as far away as possible from possible assholes who will scratch my precious. When I'm in PA I have no problem getting a spot in the back of lots!

My old car got trashed from parking in school lots. One door had three dings itself! Some prick also destroyed the key hole on the driver's door but I didn't realize it until probably months after the fact because of keyless entry.

I try to, but the GF yells at me sometimes. She's like "why do you do that, no one really cares about your car."

MY response is usually something along the lines of "yeah, thats exactly why I'm worried."

you need a new girl man, whenever my fiancee borrows my car, she knows to park it way in the back of the lot (she goes to a rich private all girls school, so you can imagine how much care is taken with car doors in those parking lots). I just have trouble changing my mode of operation when I drive my truck ('97 ford ranger 4-cyl), which I don't care about, I'll park a long ways away and be like, "wait, wrong car, I can park up front in this. . ."

Nah I don't need a new girl. Lotsa girls just don't care about cars the way lots of us guys do. So, they don't understand us being all overprotective about them.

Re: Getting exercise in parking lots?

..i usually have one rule..park next to other nice cars, because they don't want to ding their doors either...so look for BMW m30 ..unless they leave and are replaced by a banged up civic..then you're in trouble
