I almost died today...

Well I was driving down a narrow road taking a bend to the right. On the oncoming side of the road came a Subaru SUV (one of the new ones I think) or Mitsubishi SUV. Not to mention s/he was driving in the middle of the road, but moving into my lane! I hit the brakes, and not having ABS, the tires skid a little. I literally put my hands up to my face because I honestly thought the other driver was going to hit me. The other driver finally realized what the hell s/he was doing and turned out of the way. The SUV missed my car by at most an inch! I went home, crapped my pants, and had a heart attack.

Scary!!

I had a similar experience happen to me a few years back. A black sports car coming from the opposite direction was coming around a turn (doing about 50 in a 35) and drove into my lane. Unfortunately he never tried to get out of the way, so when I did I wound up in a ditch and caused about 2g's worth of damage to my mom's car. Fortunately, I wasn't hurt...but I was scared half to death. Of course, the other guy just kept on driving, and the only witness to the accident stayed with me to make sure I was ok so we never found out who tried to kill me :x

Re: I almost died today...

For whatever it's worth, at least you didn't crap your pants while still in the car. That would have been double-ugly!* *
