Went in for surgery last night

Yesterday at 6pm I went in and had the Lasik eye surgery done on both eyes... I must say if your thinking about it DO IT!!!! Best thing Ive ever done. Took mayby 20 min to do and worth every penny in cost. Its 7:30 am and Im back to work like as if nothing ever happened. Only difference is I no longer wear glasses to be able to see....

Re: Went in for surgery last night

A friend of mine from our local Mazda3 club just had this done last week. After hearing of his experience and his enthusiam after having the procedure done, I want to get it done too. But damn, it's so expensive, especially in my case since I have really bad vision.

I like my glasses. They make me look intellectual, hide my huge nose, and give me something to fiddle with when I'm talking to attractive females.

However, that's good to know. I definitely will take Lasik into serious consideration.

Re: Went in for surgery last night

Its not as pricey as it used to be. Was $2900 for both eyes with lifetime adjustments if nessasary included...Well worth it I dont have to deal with glasses/contacts anymore.....

Re: Went in for surgery last night

lol I had PRK done almost 2 years ago. I love it. Well since they do actually cut your eye (make a thin slice) I is actually surgery. I didn't qualify for Lasik, my cornea's were too thin. If they tried to cut them, it would only rip.

I like the fact that when i get up I can actually see the alarm clock. lol

Yeah try getting ACL surgery, its a long rehab from that. My GF got the Lasik done and she raves about it and how they over corrected the surgery so she claims she sees better than when she could wearing contacts/glasses. I think it was a placebo effect. Lasik is also the in thing now in sports as most baseball/football/basketball players are getting it done too for performance reasons.

Re: Went in for surgery last night

I almost had it done before I my ETS ran out but, didnt qualify in time.

One of the trauma doc's had it done and he is very happy with it.

The University hospital has discounts for empployees, so I am considering it.
Just dont want some damn resident doing it.
