No air pumps

WTF!* :rtfm:
Drove for three miles to find an air pump for my tires in an operating condition.* And there I had to pay .75c for it , twice!
What's up with these cheap ass gas stations.
Providing free air and water should be part of doing business!
Aren't gas co. making record profits now days?
Just another way of the american public getting the SHAFT I guess.

Re: No air pumps

Yeah I was forced to pay 75 cents myself a few weeks ago when I got a flat on the other side of town...

Re: No air pumps

If you were really desperate, I suppose you could carry one of those inflators bike riders use - they have CO2 cartridges. Granted, your tire has hella more volume than a bike tire, but if it gets you back on the road enough to limp somewhere and get it fixed, it may be worth it. Otherwise you could invest in a mini-compressor that plugs into the lighter.

Re: No air pumps

I have a portable air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I got it at AutoZone a while ago, and it has a built-in digital pressure gauge and flashlight as well. I keep it in my garage though.

Re: No air pumps

I don't quite remember, but it wasn't too expensive. Less than $50 I think. Here's one at Amazon with the same features for $29.95 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...00850?v=glance
